Created in Pokémon Essentials v18.1 (+MKXP)

Plot
It is by chance one day that you fall into the Honnis Underground, left to fend for yourself with only a single Pokéball. It is through a rather unusual series of events that you find yourself wrapped up in a conspiracy involving the beloved "Baker's Dozen"! Will you save the region from chaos? Will you uncover the secrets of the Honnis Region? Will you beat 8 gyms and the Pokémon League in the process? ...Probably.

The Honnis Region

The Honnis region is a sprawling and diverse land filled with countless different Pokémon and cities filled with all kinds of interesting people and places.

Though it contains countless secrets of its own, its most interesting feature is undoubtedly the Honnis Underground, a vast network of cave systems containing hundreds of Pokémon that cannot be found anywhere else in the region. Pokémon within it are more active than their surface counterparts, and there are some individuals that have demonstrated unusual amounts of strength and aggression.
It is said that the Pokémon within have the mysterious property of 'scaling' to the strength of your party!

  • Special abilities granted upon consuming specific items, Traits come in a wide variety of effects that can be granted to any Pokémon!
  • Grants varying stat boosts depending on a species' strength, allowing even weaker Pokémon to keep up with their evolved counterparts
  • While a Pokémon possesses a Trait, it loses the ability to evolve via level-up, requiring it to be evolved through the party menu.
  • Through the use of the EZ-Oven and some recipes, you can even craft your own Pokétreats at any time!

  • Trainers will walk through followers if they are in the way of the player.
  • Followers do not have their running animations work correctly (also present in base essentials).
  • Selecting the same destination as your current location in the fly menu doesn’t refund your money w/ Fearow Guy.
  • Beating a miniboss in an Expedition will very rarely cause the game to freeze

Not technically bugs but
  • Music does not loop correctly due to issues with v18’s version of MKXP.
  • Scatterbug swarms will instantly disappear when the timer event triggers.
  • A few Pokémon are missing one or more of their new shiny forms. This will be fixed at a later date.

Dropped a new patch, v0.4.14, that fixes up a few previously mentioned crashes and adds a bit more futureproofing to prevent similar issues later down the line.

Is there any chance we could get a Linux version in the future? Tried running it Linux but it always give an error.

I'll probably try to aim for a compatible build later down the line, since it would also allow me to fix the music being unable to be looped, but I don't really have the knowledge required to set it all up, so I can't offer any sort of guarantee when that would be.

Is there any form of speed up on battle, I’m fine with the over world speed but I feel like the battles are somewhat slow

I'm so happy that Herovoltsy introduce me to this game. I'm having a blast as this game reminds me of playing Pokemon mystery dungeon games :D

I want to ask, for raid dens is there a specific time that the dens restarts? I'm trying to get the clauncher to appear in the dens, but I'm unable to find it.

Do you know how we obtain more wishing stones?

Thank you!!

The hiker guy (don't remember his name) you meet shortly after you catch your starter can sell the wishing stars to you, I think after the first badge. Or the second one, I don't remember

So I think I have finished most of the content of the demo that is available (most cells available and extra fight challenges and areas and the sidequests which I have done 20 at least), besides continuing to do some more expeditions. The game is amazing and super fun to play through. The traits are quite fun to use and interesting to test and use, though I have to continue tinkering to see what mons can use those stat exchange ones to greater effect.
Just wanted to ask you some questions regarding some items and some mons stats and notify you of some oddities I saw.

1) Do personal pokemon items like Lucky Punch and others work with regional mons? Mostly would like to know for the current ones and for future ones in case.

2) The ability of one of the flux evo. The calling card one. The description mentions contact but I noticed that it seems to trigger when an enemy does contact with you and not when you are the one who does the contact (Basically not when you hit with fakeout but when you are hit). Also it seems the ability works when the user is hit with contact and isnt holding an item stealing the item and poisoning the attacker or it activates if the user is holding an item and its hit.

3) The description of the clear amulet is using the one of covert cloak. I have not tested if the effects are the regular ones but I wanted to tell you that the description of that item is erroneous.

4) Finally and this one is more subjective. While utilizing the Magentaxe mon I feel its stats and abilities are at odds with each other. It has way better bulk stats but its abilities and movepool lean more into an offensive fast mon but its not as fast as the other ones. I think perhaps the mon does get better later on with its signature but atm the mon feels weird and wanting to use a mixed set but not having the full tools to lean into either full physical or full special due to movepool and mixed being its best option to have decent stabs in its type.
Thank you for this amazing game and best of luck.

I see. Well, I wish you good luck on the development of this game, even if I don't get to play it at the moment, I can see the effort you are putting on it! I hope we can get a way to play it on linux later, if possible. Stay healthy!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
1) I didn't code any checks for forms on the pokemon-specific items, I actually even altered them to work on the entire line in cases where it did not already do so.
2) Calling Card was done kind of late and I probably didn't test it to the extent I should have. It's supposed to trigger specifically in the case of stealing items, but yeah, I might have used the wrong trigger for it.
3) Clear Amulet should have its actual function coded as intended, the description being incorrect is just a holdover from when I was adding the items in the first place.
4) Magentaxe is kind of in a tough spot since it was added last specifically to be the 'balanced' evolution. I think it kind of meshes better with Weak Armor than the other two, but yeah, I could probably benefit from expanding its moveset to have a few more powerful moves.
I'll take a note of the bugs, though.

Is Purplex an alternate evolution of Glameow? It doesn't seem to be a third stage after Purugly as there is only one blank spot after it in the Pokedex.

Thank you very much for the advice. I wanted to ask, foe the regional clauncher, do I need a type of fishing rod to catch the Pokemon? Or is it only available in dens? Thank you!

The regional Clauncher isn't just available in raid dens. You can also get it in the cave in the route right to your hometown
And in case you need something else, don't forget: there is documentation

Looking at the documentation, it seems to be a split evo of the regional Glameow. And you need a Flux stone, which I don't think you get access to anytime soon

There is documentation? Where? There isn't a PBS folder in the game folder.
Thanx for the information.

It's toward the bottom of the main post, right above the credits.
There's a couple of lists I'm still missing like item locations and sidequests, but it has most of the important things.

Thanx dude.
Another question; are there ability capsules/patches in the game. I would prefer not to get Arena Trap when I evolve my Sunkern.

In my click/check alot of things ended up in an interesting spot in Belladonna"s place, wasnt anything breaking just wanted to let you know: here

I'm not sure if this was just a me thing but when trying to go back to the entrance that's before the Phantump evolution scene the game will crash the game. Luckily it doesn't impede progression but I thought it'd be worth noting.

Hm, I can't seem to replicate the issue on my end, nor can I identify any potential causes. Could you try swapping the names of 'Game' and 'Game_old' in the files and seeing if an error message occurs with it?
