In Development Project "Rebuild FRLG Map"

Hey all, I've recently been looking around for a recreation of the FRLG map for Pokémon Essentials. After no luck I decided I would recreate it myself.

This will be the entire FRLG map 1:1, tile for tile. To start I will only be designing exteriors, with plans to eventually cover interiors. I'd love to add all the NPC's and program the entire game, but as of now I have no plans to do so. I will post this map publicly for other people to use as a base for projects. I will continue to post updates here.

This post obviously isn't very long, but I don't have a whole lot to say honestly. This is a pretty straight forward project. As of writing this I've created Pallet Town, Route 1, Viridian City, and am in the process of remaking Route 2.

Welcome to Eevee Expo! 👋

There are a few older attempts that you might be able to expand upon so as to not waste your time, there's Bootleg FRLG which is 6-7 years old at this point. It might take some learning to upgrade it to current Essentials versions but you can at least copy the maps, and there was some talk in the Discussion thread about upgrading it, so maybe that could help too!
