The Eevee Expo Game Jam has concluded! 🎉 Head on over to the game jam forum to play through the games. Don't forget to come back September 21st to vote for your favorites!
Reminder: AI-generated content is not allowed on the forums per the Rules and Regulations. Please contact us if you have any questions!
You have 24 hours to create your map! When submitting your map, please include the number of the map you made, a screenshot of the map without any blur or grid visible (you may have to use a map exporter for this if you're also using event graphics!), and you must upload the MapXXX.rxdata file located in the game's Data folder! Entries that do not satisfy these requirements will be disregarded!
For a refresher on what you can/have to use, you must create a 40x40 using the Essentials outside tileset (and its default autotiles) in RPG Maker XP (or some other tool that produces a valid MapXXX.rxdata file). You are also allowed to use event graphics, that is, sprites that come with Essentials by default in the Graphics\Characters folder.
Remember that all your maps have at least one map connection already, with a map that has been made already! Your map must connect logically to this map in order for it to be valid and accepted as a submission!
That's the last maps assigned! When these maps are done, the full region will be posted and sometime in the future, also all the map and data files that will let you use this region in your own project!
Map #10, the Overgrown Comet! I imagine this would be a late-game Legendary location or at least a very hard dungeon, tucked away in an inconspicuous, poorly maintained corner of the region.
We put a spin on it this time around, and all of you delivered just as well as in the previous trials. Take a look at the final region you've created! View attachment region_mapper.png
On top of that, @rainefall has also compiled all the maps that have been created in an RPG Maker XP project, and made the proper map connections for all of them so that you can use this region with a few mouse clicks and keystrokes!
In the zip you will find all the map data files, as well as the PBS for the map connections. Be sure to compile your game after copying these files in, and be sure to try this in a fresh copy of Essentials to avoid overwriting any of your own work! team_mapper_3.zip
We've heard your feedback from this trial and will be sure to factor it into the next trial sometime in the future.
Thanks for participating, and we'll see you again very soon. Happy holidays!
