There are 300 new moves to learn, a major mechanics overhaul to understand and a rebalancing of species to comprehend. The game was created on RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials and has been in development since 2017. STORY: The game is battle-focused. Hello. I have played some rom hacks of Pokémon such as Digimon Emerald Version, Yugioh Pokeduel, Super Mariomon, Pokémon Unbound and a couple of others. I have searched if anyone has made a mod for Final Fantasy characters. Well, with no luck, I decided to make one. This has been a project a year and a half in the making and I have made the game all on my own. I introduce to you, Final Fantasymon. I was going to call it just Fantasymon, but ¾ of the way through my playthrough, I decided to change it to the full title. The mon are still called Fantasymon though. The game uses Final Fantasy characters instead of Pokémon. The starters to choose from are Lightning, Cloud and Tidus. I use Pokemon Essentials on RPG Maker and most of the sprites are from Spriters Resource mostly Brave Exvius and Record Keeper. Moves are up to Gen 9 with the Town Map using Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver. Johto is now the Ivalice Region and Kanto is now the Gaia region with a total of 16 gyms, 8 in each region. All towns and dungeons are named after various places throughout the Final Fantasy franchise with gym leaders named after NPCs with that game, i.e., Bugenhagen is the gym leader of the Midgar City gym. The game currently has over 580 Fantasymon which range from FF1 to FF16 and spinoffs like tactics and Agiato/Type-0. All summons, espers, eidolons are in the game, some monsters and super bosses are legendary equivalents. I am planning on future updates with more Fantasymon and possibly a third region. Team Rocket is Team Omega and it is the players job to stop them from acquiring the weapons. As I have made the game, I show the gameplay of what I have made, I fix the errors, crashes that happen etc. as I go along or fix them. The game is complete now. There are two evil organizations in this region, one of which you are more familiar with than you'd like to admit. Features Screenshots Difficulty I'd say the difficulty is above average. You can't use items like Potions and Revives during battles (neither can the NPCs), the battle mode is locked to set in important battles like the ones with gym leaders or rivals, and boss battles from mid to late game have EV-trained Pokemon. Regardless, if you're an experienced Pokemon player, the game should honestly not be that hard. It's definitely no Radical Red, that's for sure. Pokémon Rose Gold This game was made using Pokemon Essentials and RPG Maker XP Plot Playing from the perspective of Red, adventure around a new small area around Mt.Silver. Following the events of FireRed and LeafGreen several years later, Red stays up in the Tohjo region to train his beloved team. Use his long time companions to face tough foes and legendary creatures in this short journey through the Tohjo Region. Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours of gameplay. Screenshots Notes This game was made just over the span of a month for Relic Castles 2016 Game Jam. There are a few things I would have liked to improve, but alas, here we are, at the deadline. Other than the things I'd fix or add, I think it turned out to be a pretty solid project, and I hope you all enjoy it. -The game ends after you battle the last boss on the top of Mt.Silver. But, a few more events open up after that if you want to go find them (3 legendaries and 2 battles). -I'd suggest playing with battle animation off. I didn't make any for this game, so it's all mediocre stock animations, plus the battles are faster with them off. -I'd suggest playing with Shift style set to off for added challenge. -Most bugs have been fixed (other than graphic glitches in the battle system) but please report any you find! -Check your PC at the beginning of the game. The story: You come from a family of Pokemon Divers; a prestigious career only attainable by the best trainers. Orphaned as a baby and raised by Dive Corp. staff, you're given the opportunity to bypass the Dive Corporation exam requirements. But when something goes terribly wrong on the entrance exam, you're forced to retry through the traditional route - by completing the Pokemon League challenge. Along the way, you'll meet unique rivals and uncover an ancient, catastrophic event that now looms over the region a second time. The pacing most closely resembles that of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl's story campaign and features almost exclusively Double Battles throughout the game like Pokemon Colosseum. About 25% of the region is optional to explore, and the runtime is roughly 25-40 hours depending on your level of skill, exploration, and side-questing. The region is designed to be difficult, but not impossible. Being a fan of Nuzlocking myself, tools have been put in place and difficulty curves scrutinized. As you work through the story, its ending will set up an "epilogue" that will unfold as you continue your adventure into the second region of Lyreath. Hireath Overworld & Gameplay Screenshots: Hireath Region Features: The Region of Lyreath: Your adventure in Lyreath will be markedly different than your time in Hireath. For starters, the region is comprised entirely of 184 Fakemon, 18 of which have Mega Evolutions. While your inventory and money will follow you into Lyreath, your Pokemon team will not. You will be starting over and experiencing the region exclusively with Fakemon; all battles are also exclusively Double Battles. Lyreath itself is designed from the ground-up to be open world, borrowing inspiration from Pokemon Emerald's open sea. Consisting of a collection of islands, Lyreath can be explored at your discretion. Level caps and level-scaling maintain the integrity of the open world gameplay. The storyline itself in Lyreath can also be tackled as you see fit. A few key story beats are immune to scaling-down (but will scale-up), keeping the narrative paced appropriately, but otherwise you are free to tackle the main objectives as you wish. While you can set sail to any island you want, you can also explore the vast ocean down below. The region has an interconnected ocean, so you can dive virtually anywhere within Lyreath's borders and seek the secrets that lie buried in the ocean depths. Approximately 50% of the region is optionally explorable, and the campaign is runtime is roughly 15-25 hours depending on your skill and meandering.
