About the player's dialogues

Hello everyone.

- I'm asking to you if is it a good thing to make the player talking ?

For example, in pokemon full moon the main character : Luna talks with other characters but in pokemon insurgence for example, the player doesn't talk, 0 dialogue and i'm asking you if is it better to make the "main player" talking or not ?
What do you think about that ?
