Hard to say because I'm a lone wolf kinda dev but I do look up to AAA games and trying to improve myself constantly to their standards of presentation/gaming.

I looked into the events and both for Riverside and Olympian the nurse doesn't disappear i.e. has her sprite specified on all of the event pages. It may be using a pokemon center event from v15 which may not gel in 17.2.... I've copied and paste these from a default copy of 17.2. she should...
